Charles Chung is a dentist at Ethnē Dental specializing in General Dentistry.
Born in South Korea, he moved to the United States at 11, growing up mostly in Southern California’s greater Los Angeles area. He received a B.S. in Biology from University of California, Riverside and D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Chung was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honors society, in 2008 and received the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship award in 2017.
Before coming to Ethnē, he owned a private dental practice in Marietta, Georgia for 13 years and volunteered with the Good Shepherd's clinic in Dawsonville, Georgia for 9 years. He was introduced to the Dental Director of Ethnē through his pastor in 2022, feeling called by God to leave private practice and work in a community health center setting for a while. After much prayer and talking to family, mentors, and friends, he left private practice to officially join Ethnē Dental in the beginning of 2024.
He really enjoys establishing rapport and trusting relationships with his patients, many of whom have never been to a dentist, and he greatly appreciates the generous donations from individuals, organizations, and churches that allow Ethnē to provide affordable dental care to patients who desperately need it.
Dr. Chung is married with two children and two dogs; as the father of two active kids, much of his free time is taken up by family duties/privileges. He is actively involved in his church, Open Table Community Church in Chamblee, and enjoys spending time reading, running, hiking, fly fishing, camping, and walking with his dog.
